BENICIA (KRON) — A vehicle that crashed into a building has caused a gas leak.
The Benicia Fire and Police Department responded to reports of an accident involving a vehicle into a building.
The collision happened at 305 First Street near West C Street.
Officers determined that the vehicle hit a gas meter that began leaking uncontrollably, according to officials.
The building was evacuated along with the areas of First Street between C and D streets.
PG&E was called to the scene. Repair personnel was able to secure the leak.
Crews are working on extracting the vehicle in question.
