UNION CITY (KRON) — Two people are displaced after a fire burned down their trailer home in Union City Saturday morning, according to Alameda County Fire Department officials.
The 1-alarm fire was first reported at 7:51 a.m. at 548 Cumana Circle.
When fire crews arrived, the home was completely engulfed in flames.
The two residents were able to get out unharmed, but inspectors say their home is a total loss.
What’s left of the burned out home will have to be leveled and replaced, inspectors said.
Th trailer home is in a community exclusively for those 55 years of age and older.
KRON4’s Averi Harper is on scene. She says the fire is out, but smoke is still coming from the home.
The Red Cross will be providing assistance for the displaced residents.
