DANVILLE (KRON) — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Costco in Danville Friday afternoon.

Shots were fired during the robbery that happened at around 12:15 p.m. inside the Costco at 3150 Fostoria Way.

Two men dressed in hoodies and wearing masks entered the Costco. One of the men smashed a glass case and removed items from inside, police said.

When a store employee tried to stop him, the second suspect fired a gun.

It’s unclear if the suspect was shooting directly at the employee, police said.

The two men then fled in a waiting silver Toyota Camry with paper license plates.

No one was seriously injured in the robbery, but one person was treated for shock at the scene after they fell trying to get out of the suspects’ way, according to police.

Police described the two men who entered the store as being 5-feet-9-inches to 6-feet tall and having slender builds. One was wearing a black hoodie, gray pants, gloves and a mask and the other was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, gloves and a mask.

The store was closed as police investigating, but it has since been reopened.

Police are still searching for the suspects and anyone with information is asked to call Danville police at (925) 820-2144.

Last week, a robbery occurred at the same Costco. The suspects broke a glass display case and grabbed some items before taking off. One of the three suspects has been arrested.
