Tiffany McElroy anchors the The KRON4 Morning News at 4am and then anchors the Breaking News Desk until 10am.
McElroy is an Emmy Award winning television journalist and anchor.
With more than a decade of experience, Tiffany has covered political stories locally and on a national level, including anchoring live at the Republican National Convention at Madison Square Garden in 2004, in which she and the CW11 Morning News Team won an Emmy for a piece McElroy reported. She also anchored live from Ground Zero for the fifth anniversary of the World Trade Center Attacks, interviewing politicians from Secretary of State Hilary Clinton to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
McElroy also received an Emmy in 2009 for an hour-long news special on the Legacy of Martin Luther King: Forty years after Memphis. McElroy flew to Memphis, Atlanta and Alabama to interview friends and family of King.
During her time at the CW11, McElroy also enjoyed enterprising stories about women entrepreneurs from around the country.
Tiffany began her broadcasting career after graduating from UCLA, making her on-air debut at KCPM- TV in Chico, California. From there, she progressed through a series of assignments of increasing importance in larger news markets on the West Coast. She moved on to Bakersfield’s NBC Affiliate KGET-TV as a weekday anchor and Portland, Oregon’s ABC Affiliate, KATU where she anchored and reported.
From there she made her way to the East Coast to anchor weekday mornings and co-host the lifestyle show 10! At Philadelphia’s NBC station, WCAU.
After leaving Philadelphia, Tiffany joined the CW11 in New York City where she anchored and reported for the CW11 Morning News show.
McElroy left WPIX after many wonderful years, returned to Philadelphia where she worked as a freelance reporter/host with NBC and Comcast Corporation. McElroy is now happily back in her home state of California, where all of her family resides. She enjoys hiking, yoga and bike riding with her daughter.
