Firefighters investigate blaze at San Jose home used for Airbnb

SAN JOSE (KRON) — Firefighters put out a blaze burning in a San Jose home Monday morning, according to San Jose fire officials.

Around 3:55 a.m. smoke and flames were reported in the 1300 block of Milton Way, officials said.

Fire crews responded and started their attack from the attic and crawl space of the home.

Within about 40 minutes, the fire was knocked down.

Crews are still on scene making sure there are no remaining hot spots or hidden flames.

The home is currently being used as an Airbnb, a popular home rental/hospitality service, but there was no one inside at the time of the fire.

The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation.
