Jail Nixes Visits for Jaycee Dugard's Alleged Abductors The El Dorado County sheriff's department is fighting a Northern California couple's request for in-jail visits while they await trial for kidnapping and raping Jaycee Dugard. Lawyers for the county filed court papers Tuesday opposing the request from Phillip and Nancy Garrido. Their lawyers have asked a judge to compel jail officials to allow the two to meet face-to-face so they can talk about the case, their finances and their hopes for Dugard and the two daughters she had with Phillip Garrido.

Parole Agent in Phillip Garrido Case Moved After Threats A parole agent who oversaw the man accused of kidnapping and raping Jaycee Dugard has been transferred for the safety of him and his family. California corrections department spokesman Gordon Hinkle says the agent and his family were moved to a new location after he was publicly identified.
